Commissioning Engineer Opportunity in London
Are you an experienced Generator Commissioning Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? This dynamic company is seeking a talented Commissioning Engineer to join their special projects division.
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the company's high-end special projects, from design through to delivery, commissioning, and final handover. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, multi-synchronising generator projects, leveraging your strong technical abilities and broad industry experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- - Commission and fault-find low voltage generators up to 3MVA
- - Commissioning of synchronising systems, both in island mode and mains paralleling
- - Work with various control systems, including DeepSea, ComAp, Woodward, and FGWilson
- - Collaborate with installation technicians, project managers, and customers to ensure successful project delivery
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in commissioning and fault-finding generators
- Proficient in commissioning synchronising systems and understanding of related concepts (e.g., G59, G99, BaseLoad, Peak Lopping)
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems and communications protocols
- Relevant qualifications related to BS7671 and SSSTS (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent customer-facing skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Right to work and hold permanent residence in the UK
- Willingness to travel within the M25 zone and occasionally outside of London
